Dainfern, Gauteng

Dainfern is a suburb of Johannesburg, South Africa. It is located in Region 1 and Region 5. Dainfern is between Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Dainfern is sub-divided into several "villages" as it is quite large. Among these are Sherwood, Hampstead and Highgate. It is an enclosed housing area. Dainfern Ridge and Dainfern Valley are smaller urban areas near Dainfern.

Dainfern has a school called "Dainfern College" from Grade 0 to Grade 12. Most of the inhabitants of Dainfern and surrounding areas send their children to this school. The headmistress of Dainfern College Junior Prep is Felicity Gower-Jackson. The headmaster of Dainfern College Senior Prep is Darrel Webb. The headmaster of Dainfern College High School is Stuart West.

Dainfern has an eighteen-hole golf course surrounding the estate; the course has tarred roads to enable golf carts to access the course. The course was designed by the professional golfer Gary Player.
